9am to 7:30 pm depending on the clinician
Does Dr. Lydia Kalsner see patients in both offices?
Yes. Dr. Kalsner sees patients in both our Weston and Miami Beach offices
Does your office provide Child therapy?
Yes, we have several child psychologists on staff who specialize in treating children and have
specific training in treating childhood behavioral issues and mood disorders. Several treatment modalities including CBT, DBT-Child, Play therapy, and ABA are offered.
When and where are your Adult DBT groups held?
All Adult groups are currently virtual. We have a Wednesday evening virtual group which starts at 6 pm that is led by Dr. Lydia Kalsner. We also have a Tuesday day group which starts at 1 pm and is led by Dr. Rothenberg.
Are virtual appointments offered?
Yes, we offer both in person and virtual therapy sessions.
Do we have any Spanish speaking psychologists on staff?
Yes. We have several bilingual psychologists on staff.
What are your rates?
Our rates range between $275 and $400 depending on the treating psychologist and service.
Does your office provide psychological and/or psychoeducational testing?
Yes, we have several psychologists on staff who provide psychological testing.
Does your practice offer a sliding scale?
Yes. Certain therapists on staff offer a sliding scale depending on client circumstances
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, call our office number 305-866-3579 and our receptionist will be happy take a message. Your call will be returned within 24 to 48 hours. Alternatively, you can reach out to Kalsner Psychology Center directly through our email address at kalsner@icloud.com
Do you take insurance?
No we are a self pay practice. However, we do provide a Superbill so that you can submit a receipt to your insurance for reimbursement.
Where are your offices located? Do you offer parking?
We have an ocean front office in Miami Beach with valet parking. Public parking is also an option and is located at the 52nd Block and Collins Avenue. We also have a second office location in Broward, Weston which offers plenty of free parking.
How long is the wait for an appointment?
Most psychologists on staff can provide an appointment within one to two weeks. Occasionally, our staff can provide same week appointments depending on their availability.
Who on staff provides couples therapy?
Dr. Lydia Kalsner is the certified Gottman couples therapist on staff
Do you offer general therapy other than DBT?
Yes, we offer CBT, ACT, DBT informed therapy and as well as general supportive therapy depending on client need.
Kalsner Psychology Center offers dialectic behavior therapy in Miami and dialectical behavior therapy Weston Broward, which is used in treating eating disorders, severe anxiety or depression.
